I was offered a job. I accepted the job on Tuesday, I signed the contract and sent it express mail along with all requirements to the recruiter yesterday, and today I get phone SMS messages saying they are interviewing other teachers now, and haven't made a decision. WTF? the head teacher already told me the owner wants to hire me.The owner already invited me to come visit the school (in another city) and I was all ready to go.
If they recind the offer, even though I have signed the contract (but they did not yet), am I entitled to any money from them?

You are allowed to do this. That's why they call it rescinding.

Also, you don't really have any legal stance unless you received their signed contract. The main thing is they notified you immediately and you most likely didn't lose anything (they pay the recruiting fees and such).

I like this bit I found on the internet,

"As a general rule, a contract cannot be rescinded because one of the parties was intoxicated at the time it was made. If, however, unfair advantage was taken of a person's intoxicated condition, or if the intoxication was induced by the party seeking to take advantage of the contract, the contract can be set aside on the ground of fraud. Similarly, habitual drunkenness that impairs a party's mental abilities can constitute a ground for rescission."

Nope.. you are entitled to nothing. In Korea the contract isn't en force until the commencement date of the contract, signed by both parties.

Either party may rescind the contract before its commencement date.

Find another school.. and another recruiter.. and tell the recruiter to send your documents back to you..

What money do you expect? It was the next day, I mean maybe you could claim delivery expenses. But at the end of the day is it really worth it.

I had a very similar situation, however mine was 2 weeks later. At the end of the day it sucked but there was nothing I could do.
