So I'm quite sure that my job wants to get rid of me. I've only been here for 4 months but I really love the country and I like teaching. Lately though I guess parents have complained and of course, my job seems to be on the line.
If this all goes down, which just feels inevitable at this point, would I be able to get a D10? Has anyone ever gotten a D10 with that little of experience? (I don't know if I'll be at 6 months when they decide to get rid of me..)

If I do get the d10 and get another position, do I have to sign a one year contract? I don't care so much about the extras (although a bonus/airfare would be nice..). I just really would like to be home in less than a year.

If I do go to look for new jobs, how do I mention what I've been doing for the past few months? It's basically because of performance (the parents don't like what I've been doing). I know that I do well in most of my classes, my kids really love me and they learn. Their test scores are high and they can always answer my questions. I'm just not sure what to say if asked.

If you "really" loved the country, why not sign the one year contract yo wee yo?

I want to go back to school in the States. I want to keep a steady job until then, though.

If you're only looking to stay until the end of your first year then if/when your fires you, you could transfer to another school until the end of your visa.

However both the D10 visa and/or transfer require a LOR which states why the school fired you. This may make it difficult for you to get a new job or even a D10 visa. The D10 visa is not a given and is decided by an immigration officer.

My advice, keep up the good work plus try and make your boss happier.
