It's a rough job teaching in Atlanta. I think over 100 teachers were fired a few years back for cheating. It has been hard finding teachers willing to teach in that thug enivironment.

I have heard about students cheating, but how does a teacher cheat? Put the answer key on the board?

Teachers (and sometimes even principals) cheat by changing student answers on standardized tests that teachers and the schools they work at are graded on by the state or federal government. It's a (probably inevitable) effect of attempts at educational reform via standardized testing, like the No Child Left Behind initiative. Usually the teachers are cheating to boost student scores, but sometimes they're actually cheating to decrease them in order to maintain special education funding.

Freakonomics discussed this in their book and on their blog: http://www.freakonomics.com/2011/07/06/massive-teacher-cheating-scandal-uncovered-in-atlanta/

I have a question for you guys concerning age. I am a fifty year old male that has a MBA and a TESOL certificate from The University of Georgia. I have been a corporate trainer for years but have never taught children. I am retired and want to teach as a means to see places. Is my age an issue in Korea?

With your experience and qualifications, you may be able to teach adults in Japan. Try posting your question on the Japan forum, too.
