If I were to apply for the August 2013 teaching position for GEPIK when do you think the application date be? Also when would I have to apply for my criminal background check in the United States since I know it can take a long time to get it? I have heard its only good for six months. |

You should apply for your CBC between February and March. I think the earlier the better. If you apply in February, you probably won't get it back until April or even May and then you will probably submit it in July or August. It will still be valid at that time.
Start looking for jobs around June or July. The new semester starts in the beginning of September so you have the entire month of August to get your stuff in and get your visa stamp. Don't worry, you have plenty of time. Just make sure you do it early enough because problems sometimes come up. |

I would go for the Spring GEPIK intake, that's when they hire the most people. Korean schools start the new year in March, and not in September like schools in the US. |
