This probably sounds like a stupid question, but do I have to get a whole new apostille on it as well, or will my old one suffice?
This is such a nightmare. |

You have to get a new apostille on your CBC. The apostille has to be attached by the Office of the Secretary of State. If an apostille is accidently or deliberately pulled off it has to be sent back for re-apostilling. |

you should contact your congressman/woman and explain the situation. they might be able to make a request to expedite the CRC process. the apostille is a pretty fast process if you use one of the paid services and overnight the mail both ways. the apostille can be done in 1 week. |

Why would you use the post office? You know FEDEX, DHL, ect ship it faster and use tracking numbers so this won't happen to you. Pay the extra next time and have the piece of mind. Don't mean to sound so unsympathetic. Best of luck to you next time. |

The US post office also does mail tracking for a lot less money. They also have overnight mail and they do return envelopes which FEDEX doesn't do anymore (I don't know about DHL). As far as delays, I have had unusual delays with DHL before and never with U.S. overnight mail. |
