|
Hi everyone!
I know there is a plethora of articles and posts on the topic of WHAT to bring to Korea, but I was curious as to exactly HOW MUCH everyone did/will bring. I'm beginning the process of packing now (leaving in a few days), but can't figure out if I'm bringing too much or just enough...
Thanks! |

Aren't you limited by weight? 100 lbs? I guess you could pay more with most airlines. I brought way too many clothes here. I think I brought 50+ t-shirts... don't do that. |

John - Yes, I believe most airlines (international anyway) limit the weight of checked baggage to be 50 lbs now. LOL. I will try not to do that. However, I don't know what will happen yet O_O Ask me in 72 hours!
Clinton - LOL. I don't know. I was just trying to come up with different options, and that happened to be the last one I decided to write. There seems to always be one option in every poll that... stands out? O.o |

I scratch my head when I see those people arriving at Incheon with multiple humungous baggage. Do they think Korea doesnt have stores? |

Having too much to bring is a nice problem to have.
When I showed up in Korea all I had was $600, and I was able to fit everything I owned in 1 hockey bag. |

I voted in your poll, and said that I brought a carry-on and 2 bags. Both were stuffed full of things I thought I needed, clothes I thought I'd wear. I'll be leaving for my third year in Korea in February, and I plan on bringing about half of what I did my first year.
Once you're there, you'll realize that you don't really need that much. |

Carry on, 2 checked (duffle) bags, and 300 bucks. That was back in 1993. |

A small carry on, 500 quid and a 20kg suitcase maxed out. That was five years ago now. I remember bringing loads of stuff that I thought I would need and not using any of it once I got here. I can never filter my wardrobe/shoe collection though so it was mainly that which caused the weight to be at the maximum.
I can't imagine how anyone could bring more than 20kg with them. What are they bringing that they can't find here, and that weighs that much?? |

I brought $0.00 and one checked bag. Kinda silly with no money, but still. Travel light. |

I'm always envious of North Americans and their luggage limits.
Cathay Pacific weighed my checked luggage (20kg limit but you can get away with 25) and my carry on (Can't remember the limit but you could have 10kg).
Now it's 1 piece at 20kg. Korean Air allowed 28kg but that was 6 years ago. |
