I always say yes, where I live there are 4 seasons.....football, basketball, baseball and hockey ( except maybe this year ) season. Usually, their eyes just glaze over while the circuits sizzle.

What kind of backwoods holes in the ground do you people live in? I'm in the middle of nowhere and haven't been asked this question in years.

I get the feeling that a lot of times this question is asked as a conversation starter and not in complete genuine belief that only Korea has 4 seasons. People watch foreign TV. My impression of people who have asked this is that they already knew the real answer and that their surprise was somewhat feigned.

Of course some people seem to get the idea that this is a totally literal question.

I would believe that if it wasn't for the look on their face of "Really?! That can't be possible?!" that I see every time I say that my hometown has 4 seasons.

On the other hand though, I've had relatives ask me "Is it winter or summer where you are?" -_-

Where I am from we have 4 seasons and 3 of them are great, warm and sunny. Winter, which went for a long time this year, sucks as the houses aren't designed for it.

In Northern Australia they have 2 seasons, wet season and dry season.

Finally in Melbourne they have 4 seasons,
usually in 1 day.
