Anyone have recommendations for shoe repair places in Hongdae/Mapo area? More specifically, does anyone have any recommendations for places that offer shoe stretching services? |

There are 구두선수 아저씨s all over the city. They usually don't speak any English, so make sure you can explain what you want by getting your requests translated into Korean, drawing pictures beforehand, pantomiming like crazy, etc. |

There is a place in Ewha womens unviersity. This guy has been there for over 20 years. I saw him on TV and he's been in the papers. It seems he does things properly and for cheap, so he's got customers who've been going to him for as long as he's been there. Some post to him from other cities in Korea. I wanted to go there myself but never made it there.
From the article it seems the shop is near the 'Helen Hall'? I'm sure people will know it if you ask around. |
