9F/-13C with a -19C wind chill in Seoul. That's at close to 10 am on a sunny day!

Yeah, it's not bad outside... not to me. The wind is there, but it's not deadly... yet.

That's like saying, "Meh. It's not hot out, this weather reminds me of hell."

Actually, once you're here for a few years, your Canadianess escapes you and you start becoming partially climatized. So, when the wind chills make it feel minus 15 to minus 18 overnight, this Canadian boy starts to feel it. It's cold.

For me, my issue is with the heat. My place doesn't get very warm. It was built a long time ago. When you go outside, I don't feel it's generally too bad except when I'm dealing with major fluctuations. I've lived in Montreal, but the weather was kind of more constant. It was cold from November until April. It didn't get really warm. If it was 0 or 2 degrees it was cold. Anyway, they say that Seoul has gotten very cold recently. I'm down South, so I wouldn't know. It hasn't snowed much here compared to last year. It only did that once so far.

In southern California we had a high of 63 degrees today. So yeah, I had to bust out the heavy jackets and thermal underwear.

I'm in So Cal now, will be arriving in Korea in 5 days. I have a windbreaker and a hoodie.

I am not prepared.

Just ask Madoka to buy you a nice, expensive jacket. He's internet rich.

....May, when the "this is nothing....in Canaduh...." crowd are whining that the temperature has hit 20 degrees and their cheesy thighs are chafing in the "heat", eh? Laughing
I'm still of the opinion that once it hits a certain point friggin' cold is friggin' cold. The difference between minus 5 and minus 25 to me seems pretty negligible.
I'd wager a minus 30 degree winter in Saskatchapoongina in a house with decent heating and insulation is far nicer and pleasant than a minus 5 in a Korean concrete sardine can with breezy doors, single glazed windows and walls so chilly you practically stick to them when you touch them. Let's face it in either case you're not spending a huge amount of time outdoors in the elements.
