If you happen to use Wooribank online: I'm outside South Korea and want to transfer money to my USA account, using a special remittance account that Wooribank set up for me. The account # has dashes in it: XX-XXXXXX-XX-XXX. Should I include those dashes in the online form, or just write the numbers only?
Also, I'm pretty sure that there's no fee involved in the transfer, but I'm wondering if I should leave a bit of money in the account, to cover any unforeseen debits. (I'm not returning to SK.)

Dear YTMND,
Since you've obviously gone through the process, is there a reason you can't be a collegial forum member, and just tell me what you know? In other words: just be cool about it, as opposed to being a supercilious butthead?

I am not going to tell you exact steps how to do your financial transactions. That opens up me and others and compromises security measures. The government also doesn't help when it comes to taxes, they just provide the forms. It is then up to you to decide the method you wish to fulfill your obligations.
I'll give you a hint though:
1) If I had a password "tryallpermutations" but it was case sensitive, I would then do "TRYALLPERMUTATIONS". Darn neither work.
2) Ok, try some spaces "try all permutations", no still no good.
3) Special symbols? "try-all-permutations".
4) If that didn't work, I would just call my bank and ask them.

The process I went through didn't involve me typing anything in regards to a number. Talk with your bank.
Just so you know, I am going through something similar and I kept asking a Chinese friend for advice. At first, he gave some general replies, but eventually he didn't know all the answers. So, he said I should talk with my bank. I talked with the bank and I got the answers.
I am not trying to be mean, but you really ought to talk to your bank about banking issues instead of expecting strangers online to tell you what to do. It's for your own security. |

I do agree YMTD could be a bit nicer a times, but in this aspect he is right. Think about it. Person posts question on forum, and then waits for an answer. which could take from minutes to hours to day. OR the person could spend a couple extra minutes and try other ways.
As to the OP, leave some cash so the account does not get closed in the future. It might be nice to have an extra account if you come back or need a place to hide money. |

One of the benefits of online forums is to help each other out. If you've got useful advice then share it. If not, don't cut someone up for asking.
Dave's forums has a lot of good people on it willing to share lots of valuable information. But I've never encountered a forum in my entire life that has had such vile and negative postings towards each other. |

Ok, then, what is your advice regarding the OP's request?
So far, you have attacked the members on this forum as being negative and not providing anything positive in your post, as well as not providing advice yourself in regards to the OP's request.
I don't mind the rudeness of direct talk to solve problems, but double standards where people preach and don't practice what they preach make me wonder why they come here.
Anyway, I had some time this morning, got permission from the men in black to google "wooribank", and some special encrypted data was received through my state of the art technology I use to stay one step ahead of others.
It spit out these letters and symbols: http://eng.wooribank.com/
I was able to digitally enhance the results of this finding and got samples of the source.
It appears numbers are used to connect voice activation devices.
My assistant is clarifying the accuracy of these numbers, but initial test results are positive. We like positive here, right? No negativity. Ok, here are some positive numbers that will make you positively happy with joy and a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Ready?
