You don't have to go as extreme as in these links. Though a clean/ironed buttoned down shirt with, non-jeans/non-trackies, pants will see you dressed better than 70% of the English teacher population.

Just think about what your teachers wore when you were at school.

As to your bosses and job remuneration you will see no benefits or penalties based on how you dress.

However, being well dressed will make students respect you more, plus you will respect yourself, and mainly people will defer to you more.

Don't dress in ratty T-shirt and jeans like a bum. I hate it when I see EFL teachers dressing like that. Show some class, for God's sake.
