|

Hi Everyone
I'm currently deciding on which new laptop I want to buy. I unfortunately had my last one stolen when I went back home a few months ago.
I've been more and more interested in purchasing the Mac Book Air. To be honest it's biggest draws are its design and light weight.
However, I was just wondering if any current owners of this product could give me some helpful recommendations on whether or not the Mac Book Air would be the right laptop for me.
I primarily use my laptop to surf the internet.
I also like to download tons of music and tv shows too. However, I am worried that the space on the hard drive will limit my ability to do this.
I don't really play games, but I do sometimes play games like Sim City and Call of Duty.
Finally, i use my laptop for word processing.
So basically I want to download, surf, play occasional games and type out a few things.
So basically is the Mac Book Air worth it?
Thanks in advance. |

Games will be tough for any integrated GPU. Which COD do you play?
The Macbook Air is a fantastic laptop, just got one for my mother a few months ago.
Seems like you want EVERYTHING in a laptop, lightweight, huge amounts of storage, enough speed to play games, etc... you can't have it all, and you can't have it all because manufacturers purposely segment features in order to create more sales volume.
My suggestion to you would be to buy a MacBook Air (all macs have huge re-sell value) and get network storage for your downloads and access them via your network.
You can play some light games on the MacBook Air. |

My advice for a Macbook Air is to install a useful OS like Windows 7 immediately. OS X is a pain in the balls sometimes, due to compatibility issues. I have a MB Air and I only ever use OS X when I feel like plugging in my guitar and messing around on Garageband. |

Might be a worth a try checking out Samsung Series 7 or 9. Have thinness as a mac air and decent cpu power and decent specs.
My friend has series 7 and love the thin form factor. |
