Thought I'd toss this simple idea out there as something to mix in with your camp lessons, it might strike some of you as usable.

Instead of me always imposing & explaining game activities, I put it to the kids: What game do you want to play? Teach me a Korean game you like to play.

This has worked a charm. Results in a game the kids want to play, tons of productive english as they explain the rules to me (I plead ignorance even if I already know it), the game is certain to be level appropriate, I can insert & ask for simple english during gameplay, & the kids are happy! They've taught me some new fun kid-popular games.

Whats not to like about that scenario?

I'm working with remedial middle-schoolers but I think this would work across any grade or ability level.

Chime in with your camp ideas.
