The problem is that doctors here give you antibiotics quite quickly- but not enough to finish the infection. Three days is the norm here. You don't get over the infection completely, and it comes back stronger. I agree that we should not take antibiotics if at all possible. But if we do take them, we need enough to completely destroy the infection.
A lot of us have said this- go to an international clinic, get a good doctor. I have had terrible experiences with the local hospital, and the campus doc is worse. The rheumatologist at the international hospital cleared up my long-term infection last year, after having tried the others and after having taken two 3-day courses of antibiotics. |
