If you had to choose, which would you prefer to live in. It does seems there are more higher paying opportunities in Busan (solely from an online research). I am looking at both and have researched each individually. I've never been to Korea so this will be my first time. From those more experienced, what is your preference and why.

While Jeju interests me due to the natuaral aspects (I am somewhat outdoorsy and a photographer), I worry if it is too isolated or difficult to travel around?

I have heard great things about Busan from a climate, cultural and relative proximity to the sea aspect.

What other things should I be looking at between the two.

Thanks!

Flights to Busan were 7만원 the last time I checked so any time you want to go mainland you're out at least twice that (to come back). I've been to Jeju twice and it's a very nice place. Though I'm not sure I'd want to live there for the duration of a contract.

I say Jeju! And it isn't as small and isolated as one might think, there are 600,000 people living there + thousands of tourists at any given time. 600,000 is a pretty good small city in Korea.

Pusan. Jeju is a great place to vacation or retire, but I wouldn't want to be stuck there my whole first year.
