I need to pick up three or four jock straps that have the pocket for the insertable hard plastic cup. And I also need to buy a cup. Does E*Mart sell these or should I try to find a sporting goods shop? If someone has seen these or bought these in Seoul lately, please point me to a specific store. I need to go to Seoul this weekend and buy some. Thanks in advance. |

It sort of ties in with my post in this thread months ago: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?p=2836809
The past couple days, it has been especially bad and today was the worst. There were two incidents that happened today within a few minutes of each other that were especially bad. Between classes, I walked out of my classroom to go use the restroom. On my way down the hallway, one 12 year old boy shouted "Gojahhhhhh!" He grabbed my genitals and pretended like he had a knife in his hand and said, "Shing!" while pretending to slice it off. He's very bad for this. On my way back to my classroom, another student from the same class and age group giggled in a very creepy manner and then suddenly grabbed there. In months past, a couple of students have even tried to reach down my pants, but I staved off the attacks. The mother of one of the boys from the earlier incidents pulled him out of the school because I had shoved him away during one such attack. I receive no support from the Koreans on this issue. Their position appears to be, "How dare the foreign teacher not allow my 12 year old son to play with his reproductive organs!"
Of course, the kids do the dong chim just like at every other school in Korea, but the genital grabbing is much worse. On the way home this evening, my right testicle was sore and I was really glad when there wasn't blood in my urine.
I have to deal with it the best I can. I still push them away during these incidents no matter how much it upsets the parents, and I try my best to explain to the students that it's inappropriate to grab or even to touch random people in that region of the body. But I really just need to wear a cup each day so it won't be as stressful or as painful. I already wear a belt pretty tightly to keep kids from reaching in, but I need to add a cup for protection. It would help a lot. |

Unbelievable. That was one of the most shocking/disturbing posts I have ever read. Absolutely disgusting. The word 고자 means eunuch, btw. |

This can be serious. Several years ago . it was parents/ Moms day and i was talking to a group of Korean moms turned and was caught with a running right hand straight to the jewels by a precious little pig tailed angel. people were trying not to laugh as i turned green. my boss witnessed it and sent me home. Be safe out there. |

I couldn't find what I was looking for today, but I plan on talking with my boss in the morning to attempt to explain how bad this problem is. I'm still a little sore even though it has mostly subsided.
I guess the big problem is how it seems to be a cultural difference that is accepted here. I was watching this video and this teacher's students were pulling up her dress and handling her breasts and her behind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qfzBP4ZtdE |

Anyway, a friend of mine does Muay Thai here and they're using steel cups for protection (or at least something hard and heavy). You might just look around some martial arts supply stores. |
