Hello. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had, or heard of, positive or negative experiences with the ECC school in Jeju? I am about to accept a position with them for March and am trying to do any research I can. So far I have not heard anything negative in my searches.
Thanks everyone!

I know a lot of people that work there and have only heard good things about the place. It is a challenging work environment, but as for the usual pitfalls of working at a private school, aparently this one has none.
P.S. Jeju is awesome.. See you in March! |

Thanks cincynate! It is nice to hear a reassuring word right before moving to a foreign country on the other side of the world.
If you happen to have a minute maybe you can help me with another question.
Any advice on what to bring? or not bring?
Was there anything that you wish you would've brought or wish you hadn't?
Oh and I was thinking about brining my mac mini and then just picking up a monitor and keyboard there, feasible or pointless?
Yay Jeju in a month!

Bring some anti perspirant, maybe 6 or 7 sticks. Maybe some cooking spices, if you like to cook. Korean phrasebook. Adequate clothing if you're really big. Asian sizes don't fit really big people. If you're smaller or average size, you'll be fine in this regard. Jeju is warmer in winter than other places in Korea. But some warm winter clothing from back home can help. (My opinion that clothing here not as warm, even western brands sold here.) Finally, socks and undies. Maybe a voltage converter from Radio Shack. Anything else? Can't think of any. Everything else you can get here.
As for clothing, summers here are hot and very humid. Cool clothing is needed too. Good luck. |
