Hi everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I am a new teacher heading to Korea in less then a month with the EPIK program, and I have loads of questions about what to bring and also if anyone knows anything about the province I am going to.
A little about me, I am a 22 year old Canadian (born and bred) female with a BA in anthropology, my TESOL certificate, and teaching experience. I have traveled to Japan before, but that is the extent of my travel in Asia.
So questions:
1) Anyone know of a good packing list specific for women traveling to Korea?
2) Is a sleeping bag a good idea to bring along?
3) I am going to Chungbuk, I won't know which part exactly until I get to Korea, as is the chance you take with EPIK. Any idea what the weather is like? Good suggestions for packing?
4) Anything else about the province of Chungbuk people would like to add would be great too.
5) If anyone can give me a average amount that it costs to live comfortably in Korea, Chungbuk, not the break down, just an overall total that would be appreciated.
6) What are the most difficult things to find in Korea?
7) What do women, teachers from abroad or regular teachers, usually wear in the public schools? Again if this can be specific to Chungbuk that would be appreciated.
8 ) Are wheeled bags or backpacks better to bring?
Thank-you

I would bring a set of sheets. They are expensive here, and don't come standard. |

Logic and common sense
Oh and you probably won't need the sleeping bag.
Pretty sure you can pack better with a suitcase than a backpack if you're bringing clothes for a year.
www.gmarket.com can be your friend if you're needing some stuff. |
