|
|
I've been reading the forums for awhile but haven't posted anything so far. So hello!
So my question. I'm studying Korean right now, and I was wondering if there is a Korean urban dictionary or a site that explains Korean slang.
Have any of you run across such a resource?
Thanks! |

This blog has a page dedicated to colloquial phrases:
https://sites.google.com/site/matthewpluskoreanequalsfun/colloquial-compilation
This, like everything else though, needs to be understood with some context...so have a Korean friend handy to explain WHEN you would actually say things like this. If you don't, you might end up like this Korean recruiter I know whose English is manageable but usage of slang, idioms, and expressions is way off. The last conversation I had with him went like this:
Me: Ah, hey ___, how's it been?
Him: Oh...you know...every day I'm shuffling |

Naver. Most slang you search will end up generating one of their question/answer site pages as a result or sometimes their dictionary page if it's very common slang/abbreviation |
