@deltaskelta: that is my understanding of the residency form as well. I submitted mine at the end of November and actually received it at the end of December. So mine only took a month. I can't say that will be the same for the rest of you, but that is what happened for me. As a side note: this form excludes you from paying Korean taxes, but only for 2 years (so I would recommend getting at least 2 copies of the form if you are planning on staying for another year or more).
Anyone else going to be in orientation Group 2?
Whoot! Less than a month now people! FIGHTING! |

| I am in group two and also stationed in Daejeon. I am trying to decide whether to arrive the 18th or the 19th right now. Tough decisions... |

I sent in my visa application to the Atlanta consulate last Tuesday immediately after getting my NOA and contract, overnighting by FedEx and enclosing a prepaid return Fedex envelope. Haven't gotten it back yet.
Anyone get theirs back in the US after mailing it in? I've done some google searches and some people say it takes 2 days to process, others say 10 days.
Really wish I could just get it back, it's the only thing left that I need. Really sucks that you have to send in something as valuable and hard to replace as a passport, but I'm in South Florida which is a looong drive from Atlanta so I can't pick it up myself. |

Just got my visa! Phew! So it took just about 8 days, including overnight FedEx shipping both ways and including the weekend. So about 6 working days.
Now I'm all set! |

| So after you get the Visa sticker in your passport, you're good to go right? I can't help but feel like I'm missing something haha |
