I've got a treadmill that has died and need some help on how to get rid of it. It's been turned down by the second hand store so that's not an option and I can't haul it out to the street by myself.
any suggestions on how to do this? |

Drag it down to the street and set it outside.
The recyclers will usually grab it (lots of good steel in them).
If they don't take it within a week or so then stop into the dong office and buy a removal tag and the garbage guys will take it.

Last time I junked a big item (a sofa), the proper procedure was to phone the gu-office a day or so ahead, set a time, meet the guys with the disposal truck & pay them. But they made it clear I was responsible for getting it down to the curb beforehand. (Cost 10k won.)
I think systems vary by location. Used to be here that you'd go to the gu-office, buy an official sticker to put on your outsized crap, & just leave it out anytime. Maybe people complained about seeing old junk sitting around for days.
Every community has some official protocol for trashing big stuff. There'll be a desk in your local admin office that handles that. |

By died do you mean not working? If so, why would you expect a second hand store to purchase or take a broken item?
For big items you need to buy a ticket or something to that affect to get it hauled away properly. |

if you live in Habebongchon/Itaewon, my husband will come and take it from you. No joke, he needs these kind of things. |

Cover it in cabbage leaves (make sure they stick). Put in Blue Bin. Done & cheaper than the Gu ticket. |
