Right now, I'm taking a few courses on-line for free thru http://www.Coursera.org.

I won't get actual college credit for them , but I will get a certificate of completion so I can at least say I didn't spend three years here with my thumb up my arse playing Starcraft. (I'm just finishing up my 1st year here w/ probably 2 more years on tap.)

On that same note, I am also studying Korean & my goal is to be conversational when I leave.

I also just joined an Ultimate frisbee team so I'm pretty stoked for that.

Hiking, biking, jogging & photography are also hobbies when it's not as cold as a witches teet outside.

sounds like a great use of time, in my opinion!

you're gonna love ultimate. i don't play myself, but have a ton of friends who do and it's more than just a sport but a lifestyle...one that involves lots of boozing and traveling not just around Korea but all over Asia to compete in tourneys.

I run between 70 and 80 kms a week. I mountain bike a lot, though less in the winter. I have three kids which keep me busy, and I'm in the dissertation phase of a PhD. I don't like not doing something.

I play competitive magic the gathering on the weekends.

Downtime rocks.

Do you play with friends or is there FNM in Seoul? I'm looking for a noob friendly place

I haven't played in 15 years but recently picked up a few duel decks and deck builders and want to play again.
