No, I'm not mistaken. You are former military and you are interested in having military or law enforcement enter the homes of private law abiding citizens to confiscate their weapons. To "protect" us. Thanks but not thanks. |
Yes, if you consider playing Counter-Strike and Deer Hunter serving in the military, then yes, 12ax7 is a combat veteran. Certainly that's where he honed his one bullet, one kill techniques. That or he's Barney Fife.

I quoted from Prof. Kates who "is a retired American professor of constitutional and criminal law, and a criminologist and research fellow with The Independent Institute in Oakland, California.
His books include Armed: New Perspectives On Gun Control, Restricting Handguns: The Liberal Skeptics Speak Out, Firearms and Violence: Issues of Public Policy, and The Great American Gun Debate: Essays on Firearms and Violence (with Gary Kleck)."
You quoted from a foul-mouthed blogger.
Nice try. |

Someone that served in the military wants to take guns away from civilians? Would you like to go search house for house to confiscate them? If I refuse to hand over my great grandfathers shotgun will you be the first through the door to make sure our society is kept safe? I feel so much more secure knowing that there are soldiers out there that want to be the only people carrying guns. |
Dude, I recently got rid of my hunting rifle because I no longer had a place to store it back home, so you're grossly mistaken in your assumptions.
Certain types of shotguns and hunting rifles are fine since their main purpose is to feed your family. Even in South Korea, where there are strict gun control laws, that's understood. And so, with the right permits, someone can own a shotgun in South Korea.
Handguns and assault rifles, on the other hand...Don't need them. |

Does that tin-foil hat you're wearing come in different sizes or is it one size fits all? |

Appeal to authority and a straw man, eh? I wish I could say as much about your argument. |

So says the guy who supposedly spends his money on a sport car and guns and then brags about it incessantly...Making up for your shortcomings, eh?
PS. My offer still stands about that investment, you know, cloning cavemen to sell them to the NFL. What's a few hundred thousand dollars to you? |

1. You are former military
2. You support gun control
3. Gun control would involve confiscating privately owned weapons, which would make home searches necessary in some cases
If you think your opinions resemble the predictions of conspiracy theorists maybe you should sit down and think your life over. |

The "I'm a soldier" card didn't work so now you've resorted to personal attacks. Are you going to compare me to Hitler next? |

Right, coming from the guy who accused me of being part of a conspiracy. |

Please show me where I accused you of being part of a conspiracy. I think you are assuming a lot about my opinions. I never said anything about a conspiracy. |

Um, tell me which number was wrong, was it 1, 2, or 3? I'm pretty sure you stated that you support all of those. If not, please tell me which one you don't support. This is just basic gun control, it isn't a conspiracy theory. It's what a lot of people want to happen. I am not even saying it's an irrational idea, I can see it's merits. Anyway, which of the three do you disagree with? |

No of course not, they'd probably just send you a letter saying that your registered gun is now illegal and you must surrender it or become a felon.
AFTER Americans ignore the letter, that's when they go door to door collecting guns (and citizens). |
