Unfortunately, the guard didn't have 12ax7's one-shot/one-kill skillz. |

Korean culture results in a low overall crime rate.
Your turn: explain why England has almost 3 times more assaults per capita and 37% more burglaries per capita than the United States. data |

So the answer is culture. Why does the US have a much higher non armed robbery rate than Korea or Japan? Why are there more assaults on other prisoners or even prisoner on prisoner homicides in the US prisons system on a per capita basis than in the Japanese or Korean prisons? Why are guards assaulted at a higher rate in American prisons than in Japanese and Korean prisons?
Why does Japan have a higher suicide rate than the combined homicide and suicide rate of the US?
Why does the US have a much lower domestic violence homicide per capita compared to Russia even though the US has nearly 15 times the gun ownership rate that Russia has?
Violent and non violent crime is largely and almost entirely driven by social attitudes and beliefs. |

So? That is true with a lot of things. Axes, knives, cars, gasoline, matches, propane tanks, fireworks such as mortars, etc...
Did you know that Americans of Japanese descent have a lower violent crime rate in America than Japanese do in Japan?
Again the answer is culture. |

That argument doesn't make any sense since crime rates in the US are higher than those in Japan. |

A lot of what he says makes complete sense.

"America is a country founded on guns. It's in our DNA. It's very strange but I feel better having a gun. I really do. I don't feel safe, I don't feel the house is completely safe, if I don't have one hidden somewhere. That's my thinking, right or wrong."
- Brad Pitt
I think that you can't start to pick apart anything out of the Bill of Rights without thinking that it's all going to become undone. If you take one out or change one law, then why wouldn't they take all your rights away from you?
- Bruce Willis
I think the biggest problem, seriously, is not so much guns. It's that every one of these people that have done these things in the past 30 years are friggin' crazy. Really crazy! And that's where we've dropped the ball: mental health. That to me is our biggest problem in the future, is insanity coupled with isolation.
- Slyvester Stallone
"I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it."
- Clint Eastwood
"The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose."
- James Earl Jones
"In England, if you commit a crime, the police don't have a gun and you don't have a gun. If you commit a crime, the police will say 'Stop, or I'll say stop again.'"
- Robin Williams
And an Englishman:
"That rifle on the wall of the labourer's cottage or working class flat is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see that it stays there."
- George Orwell |

Americans of Japanese descent have a different culture than Japanese in Japan. Not particularly complicated.
It's nice to see the fervent clamoring for gun control die down now. Americans have made it clear that innocent civilians will not be disarmed by their government or anyone else. |

They are American, and crime rates in the US are higher than in Japan...Think about it for a second. It's not particularly complicated. |

Americans overall have a crime rate of X
Japanese living in Japan have a crime rate of Y
Americans of Japanese descent living in the U.S. have a crime rate of Z
And X>Y>Z
Which part of that "doesn't make sense"? |

It makes perfect sense. Here lets try your logic: Let me ask you this, does it make sense to say that White Americans have the same homicide rate of Black Americans? Would it make sense to say that Black Americans have the same high school graduation rate as White or Asian Americans? How about college graduation rates? Well according to you it would because they are all Americans.
So is the overall crime rate in the US higher than Japan? Ya but that it isn't true for all demographics. Americans of Japanese descent have a lower crime rate than Japanese in Japan and yet they have easier access to firearms and Tannerite(explosive). Why do Americans of Japanese descent have a lower crime rate than White or especially Black and Latino Americans, especially when you factor in they all have easy access to guns? Culture. |
