Does anyone live near Kkachisan Station? I've accepted a job in the area and wanted to know about restaurants, shops, sights, etc? Are there western restaurants, big shopping centers, a movie theater?

Crappy area. Known for having a high rat infestation. Mokdong is close though.

I used to live at Hwagok Stn. a couple of years ago and havent visited that area since. Simply because it is so out of way that the only people going there are the ones who live there.

There is not much going on in that area. Far from most things in the city but housing is cheap. Not that it matters for you.
I hated that small subway section connecting Kkachisan to Sindorim but it is convenient. At Sindorim Stn. which is about 15 minutes away by subway on said line you will find everything what you need in terms of big marts, movie theater and shopping malls with lots of western food.
The Mokdong area offers similar things so as Times Square at Yeondeungpo-Gu Offic Stn.

If you live by the subway, I don't think kkachisan is bad at all...although I like the old school dirty korean neighborhoods. You won't have to go very far to find a hof or love motel. I'd much rather live there than a place like the omokgyo area that has no character at all. With that said, omokgyo and sindorim are two places around 10 minutes or less on the subway that have what you are looking for.

I'm from a small town, so Kkachisan seems pretty big to me. Seems pretty safe. There are tons of restaurants. The people I work with go to other places to experience the nightlife. I have only been here a few days so I cannot tell you much, but I have scoped out some movie theaters nearby. I have not seen any rats. So far my experience here has been pleasant, but I do live near the subway in a new building. Are you here yet? I am always looking for new friends.

Actually the deal fell through. It sucks cause the area seemed a great location for the rest of Seoul.
