I was wondering if anyone has been to one in Korea. If so, could you provide some info?

I was thinking about visiting one with my friend who lives close to Changwon.

If any other activities come to mind, please let me know. I was also thinking about visiting Jeju Island. Any other suggestions?

You can find Hot Springs in Asan, Sokcho, Busan and other cities around Korea. The water has different minerals depending upon the location. There is a blog about Spas/Hot Springs in Korea, it has a lot of helpful information about location, hours, costs, services, etc.

Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the blog.

Some nice spring water is to be found around Asan, Dogo, Onyang- Onchon, etc. There is also a German-style Baden pool in I'chon that is not too shabby.

The cool thing is to find one with "Oencheon" spring water. It's very therapeutic!!

The one in Busan is called

Here is a blog entry on it, it dates back to 2011 but is pretty much on target. I visit that place all the time when in Busan and it is worth it. Real spring water to be sure.

http://cityawesome.com/busan1/2011/05/heosimcheong-spa-the-biggest-spa-in-asia-dongnae/

This page details the area around the spa itself:

However it has been commercialized so the water temp has dropped over the years. Still, worth the visit.

If you like jimjilbangs, try Spa Land in Centum City Busan. The bathing are is pretty basic but the jimjilbang is pretty darn nice.

I went to Dogo Paradise Spa in Asan. We took a Nooriro from Anyang Station to Asan Oncheol Station (spelling? full name might not be right?) and it saved around 30-45 minutes. 5,000W each way. Much faster and a better seat than SLOOOOW Line 1.

My boyfriend and I booked a camping caravan on site. They're expensive, like 200,000W BUT it includes admission to the spa, which alone is 40,000. If you go with three friends (the camping car holds four), that's 50 each for spa and the bed total (aka 10 for the bed). Not bad.

You rent a BBQ grill for 30 from the camping site and they do all the setup for you (fire, coals, etc.). You can buy your food at the market right a cross from the train station and catch a local bus (401? 438? It's on Naver Maps) right in front of the spa.
