Does anyone know what is the current waiting time to be issued a visa number from immigration?
I am asking because as of today it's been two weeks.(ten work days)

4-12 working days (2 Fridays) after it hits the desk at immigration (provided there is no problem with the documentation - in which case it would be denied quickly rather than delayed and NO number issued).

The length of time from the recruiter to the school/hagwon and from hagwon to immigration can vary from hours to weeks.

If you have been waiting for 10 working days then the delay is probably not at immigration.

Well I just received this e-mail from the school;

We called to see if your number is ready and they said that all of the recent processes had been delayed. That is all they will say.

We don't know if it has anything to do with North Korea or if there has been a giant cock-up in Immigration's Admin.

As the result of this I lost the job now as they need someone to start this Tuesday and they can't wait any longer.

They did write that they will go and get my documents and mail them back to me.
