I am in the States now and my former boss ripped me off. He was using illegal teachers and I want to turn him in to immigration for revenge. I tried to call the number 1588 7191 but it says I cant get through/.

Any suggestions?

You decided to go back home. Not much you can do besides posting his info online and outlining what happened. Even if that is done, not all teachers will avoid working there.

A previous teacher at my last school made a video showing how bad it was. I still went. I saw the video after signing the contract, but I figured I would still do it.

His observations were correct and I left after I made some money to "move on".

There really isn't much you can do. And there is no need to. Why don't you put your efforts into your next job in the USA? Forget the bad Korean experiences.

That's a toll-free number for dialling from within Korea.

Do you really want to completely screw over the teachers working for him if they are illegal? They will probably come out of it a lot worse than him.

I really don't care what happens to the illegal teachers. They're the ones screwing the rest of us over. They're also part of the reason innocent people get pulled out of the Immigration line and "advised" about not teaching illegally in Korea.

In short: to hell with the illegal teachers.

Some people have used that service to report their bosses for breaking laws. They will read your complaint and forward it to the appropriate department.

Wow! sorry, but don't you think that's kinda cr@@##py thing to do!
How do you figure the illegals screwed you over anyways?
You don't know their situation. Really, would u like to be deported from a foreign country?
At least, give them some kinda warning.

No. Not a crappy thing to do. Right thing to do. Either you have the right to work or you don't.

Also, illegals probably contribute to the hiring recession I've been seeing in Korea for the past 8 years. A lot of hagwon owners started hiring Pinoy and Indian english speakers, which in turn tends to lessen (damn it, is it lesson? I R ENGRISH TEACHER) the true Western-English experience a lot of Mamas want their kids to have.

EDIT: Also, just want to point out that the majority of illegals are willing to work for much less. My dad owns a hagwon in Anyang and we had a few South-Asian foreigners walk in, saying they'd be willing to work for 1.2-1.5MIL. YIKES.

There are lots of teachers here who find themselves in less than legal situations as the years go by. Sometimes a change in the visa rules leaves them high and dry. Sometimes they get dicked over by an old boss. Ever start working for a new job before your transfer was final? Then you were illegal. This attitude of get em, they deserve what's coming to them is disturbing. I understand wanting to get even with an old boss for stealing, but those teachers didn't do anything to you. So you got warned not to teach illegally. That's like complaining about having to press 1 for English. Have a little empathy. Not everyone's situation is exactly like yours.

And now here comes the rush of "Screw them. They knew the rules" commentary.

I'm sure you could do that, but I wouldn't want to screw over people that are already working for him. Best you can do is warn others of the school in question and keep them from enduring the same fate as you. Sorry about what happened though.

You people are garbage. Sorry if you feel not everyone deserves the right to work your holiness. I'm pretty sure they're just trying to, you know, survive and provide for their families. Move on with your life or better yet, get one. The only people that have screwed you over are the diploma factories that issued you semi-literate imbeciles a 50k diploma for your useless Communications Degree. By the way, people are not illegal. People can be smart, funny, tall, short, skinny, fat, or, even in your case stupid and petty. They, however, can't be illegal you spoiled juvenile little turd.
