You know what's an irreversible waste of time, money and effort? Eating food you take pleasure in eating. I mean, wouldn't you rather just ingest a tasteless form of sustenance for the rest of your life and never have to go through that tedious rigmarole of opening and eating a pre-made sandwich or enjoying a huge hungover fry-up ever again? Rob Rhinehart a 24-year-old software engineer from Atlanta and, presumably, an impossibly busy man thinks so.

Interesting stuff. Poops like a real lady too!

He's eating too little calories though, in my opinion.

When I saw the thread title, I immediately thought of Wiley Brooks!

Hmm. I remember briefly trying that "lemonade" diet a few years ago. I didn't last long at all, and have of course read plenty debunking it as effective at all since then. But one improvement I noticed was that my problems with heartburn went away completely for a while, several months, in fact. I've been meaning to do repeat performances where I just ingest some sort of liquid nourishment for a day or two every month or so, to give the digestive system a chance to reboot. But on the flip side, I actually experienced the opposite in terms of energy levels, I was drained throughout the day, so it's not really something I felt was feasible when you have to work.

I've figured for a long time now that we would reach a point where someone would put out some sort of shake or snack bar that would supply everything the body needs. Hell, it's not like they can't doctor these things up with whatever flavor they want, either.

The OP buried the lede.

This man may have invented the perfect diet supplement. We don't have to follow his maniacal quest to avoid eating. We just have to replace one meal of the day with his Soylent.

If it has all the nutrients we need, shouldn't it be healthy in moderation?
