Rteacher; I live in the US and am trying to get some perspective from those that live in Korea. I lived in Korea from 1995 to 2008 , but am always willing to listen to those in country.

The subheading of the article/weekly column that I linked to is "All you need to know about everything that matters", so I just introduced it as "All you need to know about how to handle NK threats...?" (with a question mark at the end).
Btw, I'm not currently in Korea - I'm mainly posting articles from US news sources to help expats get the latest updates on how this latest threat develops. |

Just seen the north advising civilians on the bordering islands to "evacuate" for their own safety! |

Any word yet on the Robo-troopers, ray guns, and doom legions?
It always amazes me these stories that make N.Korea out to be some sort of James Bond Supervillain type organization that is cranking out all these great things and will launch some sort of mystic attack and have them do a double backflip over the DMZ instead of what they are- A 3rd world country with 1950s technology, crumbling infrastructure, and an over-bloated military with crack legions. Meanwhile of course, the U.S. and South Korea are a bunch of bumbling idiots who will be asleep at the screen, drop their weapons at first sight, or be awestruck by the DPRK's Tankzillas. |
