You are asking too broad of a request. Which prepositions are you wanting to teach? Prepositions of time or location?
Also, what age? You don't want to teach "in the box" and "under the box" to a bunch of adults, and teaching in/on/at to kids might be too confusing unless they are higher level. |

Sorry about that. I need to teach location to low level learners grade 1-3. It's a demonstration class that will be peer reviewed so I'm looking for some original or interesting twists on teaching an old classic. |

You can do the box thing as a visual prop. I don't know what you mean by peer reviewed. A manager will observe your class? A parent? Co-teacher?
If they need help with phonics, you make up silly sentences which teach vocabulary with prepositions. http://bogglesworldesl.com/prepositions.htm
There are also textbooks with visual cartoons.
I did one where I put a list of boys and girls names either on the chalkboard or computer screen and they had to guess which names were for boys and which ones were for girls. After that, you hand out word cards (alternate way below). In my case I was teaching rooms in a house and added actions with higher level students. So, they would pick a name and place.
I was also teaching the concept of "inside" and "outside" ("Bob is in the living room, and he is reading a book"). For outside, some good students will jump the gun and say things like school or park. So, you might want to make a list beforehand which has "garage" and "backyard". Expand later. If 2 students pick the same room, you can add words like "next to" ("Jackie is in the living sitting next to Bob"). If that is too complicated for them get some pictures ready of family members. http://www.mes-english.com/flashcards/family.php ("Jon is sitting next to his mother. His dad is sitting between his mother and younger sister. His older sister is standing and doesn't look happy").
An alternate to using word cards is to use a deck of playing cards. Take out 1-10 of one suit, and then make numbered lists of whatever vocabulary you are learning. Let them pick a random card from the set and then they use that to make a sentence.

What equipment do you have in the classroom? If you have PowerPoint, then you could prepare something with PowerPoint with a "Pass The Paper" game. It just needs an hour or so to prepare the presentation. |

@YTMND thanks for the information. By peer review I mean the other teachers at my school will observe my class and then we will have a meeting afterwords to dicuss it. Fun stuff...meh. |
