A Korean friend told me that there is talk of, starting from next year all male E-2 and F6 VISA holders having to do 3 months basic military service Crying or Very sad

Has anyone else heard about this?

There's no way I want to do this! Also how would it practically work? With lots of foreign teachers only coming over for 1 year contracts........

Anyone know more?

Hey, it can't be serious. I don' know about Korean military well, but if they are as reasonable as any military out there(which I sometimes doubt here in Korea......) it's just terribly inefficient. April fool's?

No, that only comes once you have a PhD in honorific verb forms.
