I was thinking about trying to go somewhere this upcoming weekend (4/6-4/7) to check out some cherry blossoms. Jinhae seems to be the best, but it's gonna be difficult to get there from Seoul for just the 2 days.
Where is the best place to view cherry blossoms?
Is there a site that shows where cherry trees are currently blossoming? |

jinhaes ok but it gets extremely busy. plus, some of the best spots are up in the mountians and you need a car/bike to get up there preferably. apart crom that, theres not really anything to do in jinhae.
gyeongju has a lot on the far side of the river oppositte the bus terminal and theres other stuff to do there to keep you busy, if youre down for the weekend. id recommend there over jinhae if you havent been.
as for the when, they should all be in bloom around now although the ones further south will be losing thier flowers soon id expect. i think seasons travel at about 4 kmph. jinhae was in full bloom on the weekend. |

Do yourself a favour and skip these mass gatherings.
If you are in Seoul you can go to Yeoido. Again, at your own risk!
Cherry trees are everywhere and you can find nice stretches of them along bike paths and stream banks without a million people pushing each other. |

Thanks for all the info. Getting to Jinhae from Incheon is just too much work. Have you guys ever seen the blossoms in Daejeon? |
