When you turn 40 you have to be provided a free one by either your employer or through the national health insurance.

I find Koreans often mix up "its free" with "you must".

I can't say whether it hurts, I forgot to get mine.

you can turn it down, its part of the whole general physical you have to get every couple of years, if you don't want any of the side tests like endoscope etc just tell them they won't force you to do it

Well that's what I thought. Thanks for the info. Does anybody know if there's an official fact sheet, agency, (National Health Program?) or site that has this information. Maybe save me some digging? Thanks again.
