				| Two recruiters I'm dealing with have just offered me the same position starting on May 1st (I'm not sure if it's okay to name the school). Neither of them know, and while one has actually secured an interview for me tomorrow morning, the other now thinks that I may not be able to get it in time considering that I still have to wait for my Kiwi CRC to be processed. (I thought I had all my docs ready but having dual citizenship backfired here, I should've realised I'd need one from both countries).
Still, would a situation similar to this have the potential to be awkward? And is it usual for a school to use more than one recruiter?

				| 1.5 million, 6.45am-1pm, no house or severance? They're dreaming.
 No, it's an ILS school.

Just as many teachers use more than one recruiter (a good idea) many schools do too (also a good idea).

Just tell the second recruiter that you've already interviewed with the school in question.

				| Right, I thought so. I'm dealing with so many recruiters it's a struggle to remember who's who when they call. I just don't want to make a blatant faux pas and scuttle my chances for a position. | |

It's normal to use many recruiters. They know it as well.

In this case, if you like the job, tell both of them that you'll take it. See which one calls you to tell you some BS excuse about how the school is no longer hiring or that they decided to re-sign a current teacher. Then name and shame that recruiter for our benefit.

To keep track of them all, I usually keep a sheet of paper with a list of the Recruiters (agency name and pseudonym of the recruiter) along with a very brief note to remind me which job they were offering (e.g. city, school, salary, start date). When they call, i just take a quick look at the list to remember what the deal is with that one. If a job offer is retracted, then I take it off the list completely. Write the name of the recruiter in big letters or highlight it so that you can find them easily when they call and say "Hi. This is John from We Love Korea Recriuters."
