Hello,
At the stage now of getting my visa stamp for my first time working in south Korea. I have dual passports(Australian and British) but I'm Australian and live in Australia. I'm asking can I apply for my visa in the Uk on British passport as I'm visiting there before going to Korea. Any advice ASAP would be appreciated - Andy |

Use the passport of the country where you will have your criminal background check from, and where you went to University, just to keep things simple at immigration.
But also think about pension.....
I'm not sure about Australia, but if both of those countries get pension refunds then it doesn't matter, but if one of them doesn't then go with the other passport. I had a friend from Canada with dual citizenship to the UK, he came over on his UK passport basically because he thought it was cooler (you know how North Americans feel about Europe) and in the end he realized it was a big mistake because he couldn't get his pension! I'm not sure if rules have changed with the UK since then.

You need to use the same one that you used when you sent in your docs for your visa confirmation number.
It should be the same one that your CBC and degree are issued from (or you will have problems with immigration and the MOE).
If you are working at a private school (different from a language academy/hagwon) then you also, if you use your Australian passport, will be entitled to a tax holiday of up to 2 years and a refund of all pension contributions (yours and your employer's).
If you will be working at a hagwon you don't get the tax holiday (no entitlement) and it is unlikely that you will be enrolled into the NPS.
