Platters has served up some of the best Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, and real milkshakes in Korea over the past few years. I've never seen another 1950's style American diner in Korea.
Unfortunately, the owner is closing the restaurant to pursue new business plans.
Sunday will be the last day to dine there. I recommend the Mushroom Steak or Mushroom Swiss Burger along with a chocolate milkshake and pint of beer.
To get to Platters, head out of Hyehwa exit 2. Take your first left (under the hanging stone). Continue down that walkway/alley about 100 meters. Platters will be on your right across from the GS25. |

I didnt think the cheesesteak I had was very good, but it definitely had a nice atmosphere. |

Anyone know if the broad that ran this place ever opened a new restaurant? I enjoyed her food and thought she was nice enough to chat with. Be interesting to see what she's up to now. |
