Listening to something else at the moment but from what I can see when muted these are pretty good. I see some people have commented that they use the videos to learn English and adding the transcript as subtitles would make them even more useful there.

I am learning and learning fast. I will give them a try. I, personally, prefer the 가나다 Korean for Foreigners series and they are having a great result for me.

this would be good for anyone that already has some grasp of basic korean, because you jump right into have to/want/must on your first episode. However there is a distinct sound to your voice and korean ie. your accent is strange different than someone who started korean as a child/natural born korean. that being said, i applaud your effort.

I'd be more interested in learning the language if it didn't make my ears bleed. I honestly find it very unpleasant to listen to. Very peasanty, and spoken too loudly and too vigorously.

Hurts my ears.

They helped me a lot, I study Korean all by myself, last year, I passed a TOPIK test level 6 (the highest is 6).

It has been a while since last time I updated it, but I will try when I have time later.

Overall, I find his videos very helpful at my level of Korean. I think the videos show that non native speakers can often be better language teachers. He's good at explaining subtle differences in meaning. Some things I have learned recently:

이미 and 벌써 both mean "already." 벌써, however, is used to express surprise.

와/과, 하고, and (이)랑 all mean "and." 와/과 is the most polite and (이)랑 is the most informal.

그 and 그녀 mean "he" and "she" but it is considered rude to use these pronouns to refer to someone when speaking. I remember being corrected by a Korean once for referring to someone I knew as 그녀. 너 means "you" but is informal. It's banmal. I'm not sure there is a formal way to say "you" in Korean.

Sometimes, it seems he can cram a lot into one video but at least you can pause and watch it again.

I checked out a few of the videos and they are pretty well done. I am fluent in Korea and I sure wish such videos had been available when I was learning!

The guy does them on his own time and offers them for free. Good for him.

Great quality and his pronounciation is damn good too.

So they are a bit on the "cutey cutey" side, who gives a damn...the content is excellent and a learner gets put off by his style he or she is just missing out on a potentially great learning tool.

A fantastic tool for anyone who wishes to supplement their learning resources for acquiring Korean proficiency.
