Love the eyeroll. what about the 8 year old boy . Has that even entered your mind, or are you so upset that some muslim might get a dirty look from someone. Geez get priorities in order.

I mean you post some stuff that makes it sound like muslims had to wear a yellow star, . I was in Miami during the celebration the night of 9/11 the dancing , thefirworks went on all night. No mob gathred to lynch them rather they were ignored. In Dearborn the party went on for a couple of days, police actually protected the people celebrating three thousand dead.

Something is real reall wrong with some peoples thinking. REad books. i

Although crazy college kids of any culture tend to look for any excuse to party, I think that reports of "celebrations" in the aftermath of 9/11 were exaggerated/fabricated and sometimes used stock footage showing crowd reactions to completely different events ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reactions_to_the_September_11_attacks
There were also celebrations among right-wing extremists in the U.S. - particularly in Texas - when President Kennedy was assassinated...

I really enjoyed reading the post by grnml who supports terrorism and supports the murder of children. That was beautiful. absolutely touching. Ya ta of course isnt worried about the dead just that we must be caeful and not hurt anyones feelings. Lovely!! People should be careful about supporting terrorist and murder on the internet if they are in Korea , you could have a problem GRNML.

In this Internet age, you'd think that someone would have posted something about such all-night celebrations in Miami. I was living in Orlando at the time, and I didn't see any evidence of them although Muslim-owned businesses/organizations who received threats did get some police protection. I recall that at least one caller to a talk radio station did try to justify throwing rocks at the Islamic Center by claiming that students there had been celebrating, but that was disputed and not clearly substantiated..Evidently that center still gets targeted ... http://www.fark.com/comments/5816553/Islamic-relations-center-brings-community-members-of-different-faiths-together-Haha-just-kidding-Florida-rednecks-pelted-building-with-rocks

Mr Obama stopped short of calling the incident an act of terrorism.

The BBC's North America editor Mark Mardell says perhaps this was merely caution, although given that the president will face criticism for not using that word, it is certainly deliberate and may be significant.

Of course everyone will refrain from speculating on these guys' ethnicity... http://www.policymic.com/articles/36289/boston-bombing-suspects-ethnicity

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2311248/Sala-Barhoum-track-star-teenager-denies-involvement-Boston-Marathon-bombing-picture-widely-circulated.html

Quote:
A teenage boy wrongly identified as a Boston bombing suspect fought back tears as he told how he begged police to help him clear his name.

Sulahaddin Barhoum clutched a handful of his own running medals on a red, white and blue ribbon as he told MailOnline of his terror at being falsely accused.

The 17-year-old Moroccan, who moved to the U.S. with his family four years ago, said: 'Late last night friends started calling and emailing me they said my photo was all over the internet, that I was a suspect in the Boston bombing.

Quote:
'I was terrified, I have never been in trouble and I feared for my security,' he said.

'At 1.30am I called a friend to take me to the state police I walked in to the lobby and told them I thought I was wanted by the FBI. They didnt know what to make of it.

'I had my papers with me and I gave them my social security number so they could check me out.

'They didnt even take me into a private room. They made some calls, then said I was free to go.

He continued: 'I was there about 25 minutes but I was very frightened. I still am my photograph is all over the internet and I worry that someone, a mad person, might come after me and my family.

'I have two little sisters, aged three and seven, and a 15-year-old brother. We have no protection.'

If I was this kid I wouldn't be leaving my house for quite some time!

Quote:
'One of the guys asked if I was Arab. I just shook my head, said like, "Yeah, whatever."'

Mr Faruque said that when he tried to go back inside Applebee's, one of the men said, 'Yeah, he's a f***ing Arab,' and they attacked, beating him about the head and body.

He told the paper that he did not know about the Boston bombings, because he had 'a busy day.'

Typical.

Have you seen the pictures of the suspects? One of the two guys even looks like Timothy McVeigh. Wink

Hey bum!

I realize that his goes against your carefully concieved ideas that if an arab kills an American its okay.

but there were big celebrations in Arab communities all accross the u.s. on the evening of 9/11.

it was reported and i witnessed some of the celebrating. I was living out in Lauderdale and saw lots of people gathered in the area near lauderdale lakes shooting fireworks, dancing! this was around an area with a lot of arab owned businesses. also a big thanks for the killing partyh was held around Planation area. Again dancing fireworkd. the smae night several synagogues were vandalized, spray painted the ususal death to the Jews.
some swastikas.
Why people doubt this is beyond me. Hey do some study read some books.

I mean this was no big secret okay! Why the doubt??? I mean murder is a form of predjudice , so your theory that arabs can not be bigots kind of goes poof.

Why is there so much concern about muslims and none for the victims. Absolutely some of the stupidest post ever written on Daves. this obsession with seeking evidence of prejudice. it screams of a lack of education. sad for you guys.

Can you post a link to any article about such 9/11 celebrations anywhere in the U.S.? - I haven't been able to find even one.

The main concern for keeping an open mind about who did this horrible bombing is that prejudice leads to miscarriage of justice and extreme presumption of guilt by racial/ethnic/religious association.

In particular, Rupert Murdoch-owned media (e.g., NY Post, Fox News, Wall Street Journal) have recklessly reported on the Boston bombings in ways that have resulted in injustices to individuals, primarily through racial stereotyping.... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/18/media-boston-marathon-bombing_n_3111715.html

rollo, you are projecting so hard you might short circuit.

I'm really impressed with how much the FBI has found out in just 3 days.

One thing I'm curious about but no one has mentioned on any report I've seen: Suspect #2 was filmed talking on his cell phone. It doesn't seem likely to me that he would be taking a call from him mom just at that time. So, is there at least one more member of his terrorist cell?

Tomorrow (Friday) is the actual anniversary of L & C...
