Hi, Yeah. I would definitely be in China if it weren't for my gf, but that's ok.

I landed a job in Mokdong, which is close to where my gf lives. I accepted a newbie's salary because the location was more important to me, but I can roll with that. I sent all my docs and the signed contract to the recruiter earlier in the week. However, she's now saying that the school sent me an outdated contract and she just emailed me the new contract to sign, scan and email back ASAP. The only thing is that the new contract has a 2000 Won reduction in overtime, and the housing section has the names of a couple on it, weird. I'm not too happy about it but what can I do? She has all my docs and I don't want to waste time looking for another job when I've already quit work and have given notice at my apartment. I guess 2000 isn't too much either, but still.

Overtime doesn't matter much as you probably don't want to do any overtime anyways and most schools will fight tooth and nail to not pay you that money anyways.

Did the recruiter offer you single housing? If not, then whatever. If he/she did, then it's best to clarify that.

Get the D visa and do inperson interviews.

If you are a decent, you'll get a job.

I couldn't get the D visa because I didn't graduate from a top 200 uni, but no worries. I'm happy enough with what I heard from one of the current teachers, so I accepted the job and I fly out this Saturday (assuming my visa's ready by Friday).
