The difference between the Boston Bombers and these guys is? Failure.
Find them, give them a trial and execute them. |
Completely different intentions tho!
7.07 am. I don't think their intention was to kill as many people as they could. Their "failure" was planned. They did what they intended to do. Make a strong (although twisted) statement without inflicting any injuries..
Could it have been much more successful from their point of view?
These people deserve a big punishment but to be likening them to the Boston Bombers is a bit OTT, IMHO!! |

They attempted to bomb a childrens educational establishment.
Its only thanks to their ineptitude that nobody was killed.
In many countries that is enough to earn a death sentence.
But in Korea the police will probably release the suspects due to them being drunk at the time, or that their crime was motivated by "sympathetic nationalistic feeling". Or some other such nonsense.
If they even bother to look for them. |

They set fires in a large office building on a weekday morning. Everyone who works in that building and visits the building was put at risk. |

| Epic fail by the Korean media. They could've blamed an angry former ESL teacher with a bomb cartoon on the side. |
