I can speak Korean fairly well....at an intermediate level.
I've been through Sogang and Yonsei courses to levels 3-4. I have also had numerous private tutors, but most of them were a waste of my time and money. I want someone who will push me, come to the lesson prepared, not speak a word of English to me, role-play business phone calls/emails/meetings/presentations, etc.
I have a Business Korean textbook from Yonsei and am willing to purchase another copy for my tutor if I can find someone that is highly recommended.
Any help would be much appreciated! |

That can be offered by specific service providers who will also charge you a lot for this. If you want quality language tutoring delivered in the manner you outlined get ready to pay!
The other option is to keep on with your Korean courses and to increases your practice opportunities by putting yourself in "Korean survival" situations where you MUST use Korean. This can be done by traveling inside Korea, using Korean in all your interactions with Koreans and doing so everyday. You will get better quicker and can certainly use textbooks or ask some Korean friends to help you with the rough spots.
If you want Business Korean language experience, I assume you want to or have to work in a Korean business setting. In that case, practice opportunities should be readily available.
As you seem to have taken formal Korean courses at K-Universities, why not ask your professors or teachers at Yonsei or Songang? Surely they could help you with this more effectively than we can on a discussion forum for English Teachers?
Good luck anyway! |
