I'd be really interested in seeing some location where films like 'The Host' and 'Oldboy' were shot. How would be the best way to go about finding these locations? I checked out the Korean Tourism website, but they don't seem to have an email address for inquires. And I don't speak Korean so trawling through Korean language film forums isn't possible for me either...

The river scenes in The Host were shot along the Han River, right?

Old Boy, Busan, as far as I know.

The Han river is fairly long...and with the all the renovation work they've done over the last few years, even if you found the spot, it probably wouldn't look the same.

Well it was hardly going to be the bloody Thames, now was it? Shocked Which part of the Han?? lol.

Old Boy, Busan? You sure? In the movie the main character as a young man stated that he was moving to Seoul. Would be a shame if it was shot there, I'd love to try Sannakji in that sushi place. Very Happy

It was shot in Busan and Seoul apparently. No idea where though.

Host: Dongho, Hangang and Wonhyo bridges. Hangang park on Yeouido.

Really? That park... would that be where the stall was, and the picnic mats? Or would that be near one of their bridges.

Great to start with though, thanks very much! How did you come across this?

Read about the bridges on IMDB. 90% certain the stall and running from the monster is the picnic park area.

http://classbravo.blogspot.kr/2009/11/wonhyo-bridge.html shows some of the locations
