Hey guys
Having a problem with my uni who appear to no longer provide copies of transcripts to students who graduated over 20 years ago.
They are sending me a sealed stamped Confirmation of Studies letter instead. Will this satisfy Korean immigration?

Unless you are Canadian, immigration won't care.
Canadians can't get an apostille so they need them as part of the certification process at the Korean consulate in Canada.
For EVERYONE else K-immigration wants a certified true copy of your parchment with an apostille affixed.
They no longer require sealed transcripts.

I was hoping you would be the one to reply to my post, as you are the authority on all things concerning immigration.
Many thanks! As a UK citizen, as long as the stamp is over the seal of the envelope I should be cool because I can provide an apostilled copy of my degree?

Unless your employer wants it (letter or transcript) they are NOT needed for the visa process.

ttompatz,
Korean Horizons website says that 2 sets of transcripts are needed (I'm from the UK).
I take it I need them in this case if I'm applying with them in this case?

I lived in Korea for 6 years. Five of those years were on E1 (professor) status. I did not have to do a medical, provide transcripts or conduct a criminal background check.
Makes sense eh? Surely a "professor" could never ever - have a fake degree, std or criminal record.     |
