I have a specific situation that I'd like to ask forum users on what their experiences/opinion on the matter might be.

In Canada, our criminal record checks have four sections that need to be checked off by the police. The first three sections relate to criminal offenses and the last section relates to this:

The police type in your name into their database and see if any information shows up. Basically, this section will be checked off as "may or may not exist" if your name brings up any particular information, but not offense related.

My question is this: if you do not have a criminal offense, never been arrested for anything, but a section like this is checked off as "may or may not exist," how does the Korean government view this and the Korean consulate? Will they still proceed with your application and hire you for a job?

Thanks everyone. Probably only a few will be able to give me an answer on this question. Thank you for your time and advice on this matter.

If the section is related to VSS or "Vulnerable Sector Search" then leave the check off. It is not needed for Korea and also not allowed for use outside of Canada.

I would hamper a guess that immigration will not care. Do make sure to get your CRC verified by the Korean consulate. Most immi officials will do a cursory glance for consulate sticker and basic NO record.
