I'm not sure he knew the threat was "gone". Shoot one intruder, falls down stairs, kill him - another one follows. Repeat.

For all he knew, there was a group of 20 upstairs waiting to gank him.

As the homeowner and VICTIM, you do not have the advantage of knowing who/what is coming your way.

Its natural to transition from English teaching abroad to becoming a lawyer. We cannot all be lifers, and we certainly cannot all draw a paycheck from the state as int'l affairs specialists (altho kudos to those who can).

There are more under-employed/unemployable LLBs / JDs (especially from the States) teaching English/EFL/ESL than you would probably imagine.
