Okay, I'm stumped...
Until a day or two ago, I had no problem accessing The Guardian's website. Then, all of a sudden, the connection starts timing out.
I tried different browsers (Chrome and IE).
I tried flushing the DNS.
Neither worked.
I tried using my Galaxy 2 LTE...still a no go (both Chrome and stock browser). No luck.
I tried turning off Wifi and using LTE (thought maybe it was a router problem)...still no go.
Tried using my wife's brand new Galaxy Note 2, using both wifi and LTE...still no luck.
I can access it using a proxy, but I use my podcast manager on my phone to automatically download podcasts from the site, so I'd like to get to the bottom of this, but I'm totally stumped.
Any suggestions?
Anyone else in Korea having trouble accessing The Guardian's site? |

I've been unable to access the site. First noticed it yesterday.
I've tried at home, at work, and with my phone all with the same result. And as you said, it works fine through a proxy located outside of Korea.
I don't have an explanation or a solution though. |

Glad to know it's just not me, but still a frustrating/perplexing problem. |

Well, things seem to be back to normal. That was weird, but glad it's resolved... |

Having the same problem again! Just noticed my Football Weekly hasn't updated for a week or so on my podcast manager, and upon investigation, same thing...can't access the site at all without a proxy.
I'm hoping it will "magically" resolve itself soon, but I would love to know what's causing this... |

It's okay now (I could always access it from my phone though - I'm on KT) just not on my office desktop and home laptop.
Really strange.
I remember it happening once or twice before though. |
