some waygug-in:

I didn't mean it that way. I meant that schools seem to want a certain type of teacher. If that is you, then you'll get the job. If not, then you won't.
And I just thought it was strange that you would wait 6 months for a job. You must be really picky considering most jobs in Busan are pretty much the same besides the location. They all pay about 2.2 mil, the hours are similar, and they offer the same extras.

I have no idea who you are or what your experience has been with RBI? I can only speak for myself and the people that I have recommended to them. Some were friends, other just friends of friends asking me if I knew where they should be looking. Most of them worked out pretty well. Others took jobs elsewhere. And again, from my experience, when I go out for a drink or to the beach on the weekend and get to know new people in town, a lot of them used RBI.

All recruiters are good recruiters if they get you the job you enjoy Smile I'm sure RBI is just like most other recruiters: Mostly great placement and a few that fall through the cracks/ don't make the cut

My 6 months of waiting was before I first went to Korea and had nothing
to do with RBI.

I'm glad you had good luck with them and as you say many others have.

If you are under 40, I suppose that would partially explain some of the
reasons.

I certainly had better luck with other recruiters, but that's just me.

cheers

I agree that being over 40 makes it much tougher. Hagwons seem to want the younger teachers.

If you aren't American RBI won't even bother to respond to you unless they are desperate to fill a bad position.
