I am tempted to derail this thread and aggressively attack this vapid-yet-regularly-heard piece if feminist propaganda (linking "rape" to "domination" to "patriarchy" to "men controlling what they produce" is a political strategy, not an explanation), but I suspect it would go no where. I still cannot believe an entire civilization has been gulled into thinking the motives for a criminal male forcibly penetrating a woman are non-sexual in nature. Is there anything you people will not believe so long as enough Women's Studies "Ph.Ds" say it? Anything? |

Rape is certainly in many cases about power over women but how is it ever NOT about sex?

To Rollo: put down the opium pipe (sure is fine smokin dat dope huh)
The Irony/connection is that leaders in the Pacific whether Japanese, Korean
USFK condemn "Human Traffiicking" "Abuse of Women" on the one hand, while tacitly approving of the the same.
"Toru Hashimoto, the young, brash mayor of Osaka who is co-leader of an emerging conservative political party, also said that U.S. troops currently based in southern Japan should patronize the local sex industry more to help reduce rapes and other assaults."
1995 Okinawan Rape Incident
He was fired from his post at PACOM in November 1995, hours after making comments considered insensitive to reporters about the case of U.S. sailors and a Marine accused of kidnapping, beating and raping a 12-year-old Japanese girl. He said "I think it was absolutely stupid. I have said several times: for the price they paid to rent the car [used in the crime], they could have had a girl.
The same problems were going on in Korea and Japan and Tu Do street in Saigon back in 60's and 70's but there was no internet- only Pacific Stars & Stripes
After 18 years, "leaders" are basically saying the same thing. |

So you are saying that the U.S. government has a policy of forcing women into prostitution (rape). Are there documents showing this , are you sure.
You seem to have some trouble in comprehension, wondering why someone did not visit a prostitute and kidnapping 200,000 women and raping them with the support of and blessing of the government are too very different things. Di you understand this?
If the U.S. goernment endorses rape or prosttution why did they crucify Macke over his comments.
Here is the problem, you are equating someones words with an action.
I mean damn! |
