Actually a map of race-hysteria culture, at least in part. The map relies on self-reporting questionnaire answers, so while affluent white Americans (for example) will flee neighborhoods when poor minorities move in, they'll lie about it when asked questions like, "What kind of people would you not want as neighbors?" The difference between the US (dark blue) and France (light red) is more one of honesty than tolerance.

A lot of people barely know their neighbors anyway other than the occasional hello.

N. America not racist? LOL five minutes on Stormfront will put paid to that silly claim forever.

I agree. This is a poll about what people are generally honest about it and who aren't.

I dunno, man, America has a black president...so I'd say the majority of people are not racist there.

Stormfront doesn't speak for the American people any more than Korean Sentry speaks for the Korean people.

http://sites.tufts.edu/inclusivecommerceblog/2013/05/16/surveys-gone-bad-when-yes-means-no/

"Thanks to the fact that both Max Fisher of WaPo and World Values Survey folks freely shared their sources, we can take a dive into the data that generated the map to explore thought #3 to our hearts content.

The short answer is, yes, someone did fat finger this big time. Yes and No got swapped in the second round of the survey, which means that 28.3% of Bangladeshis said they wouldnt want neighbors of a different race not 71.7%."

I wouldn't trust this data, seeing how they didn't impute the data correctly. The Bangladeshi who wrote this blog checked the data for Bangladesh and found that for one of the questions yes and no values were switched making Bangladesh look much less tolerant than it should have. WaPo admitted their mistake here:

"Correction: This post originally indicated that, according to the World Values Survey, 71.7 percent of Bangladeshis had said that they would not want a neighbor of a different race. In fact, that number appears to be substantially lower, 28.3 percent. Ashirul Amin, posting at the Tufts University Fletcher Schools emerging markets blog, looked into the data for Bangladesh and found that World Values Survey appears to have posted the incorrect data due to an error."

Seeing as how this was only checked for the Bangladesh data, who knows how many errors there actually are in the whole survey. Shoddy work to say the least.

More things wrong with this map

Australia is not red (obviously, rather big race problems there).

Greece and Ireland are also not red; when they should be. Greece is going through major 'They took our Jerbs' syndrome right now and immigrants etc. are getting some major hate. Anyone else remember reading that article a few months back about that poor Korean tourist getting punched in the face because the police suspected he was an illegal worker? Yeah.

And Ireland... anybody that looks faintly black, brown, Asian or Eastern European also faces discrimination.

I live in Korean and I'd be pretty upset if if Brit became my neighbor.

There's only so much talk of Footie and Guinness a man can stomach.

I wonder how many people gave honest answers to this survey.

More nonsense from this obvious kyopo troll. Until the American government seeks advice from Stormfront, as the Korean government did (and still does) with AES, then your point is moot.
I lived in Ireland for many years and the racism there is not as bad as in Korea. In Ireland there are government backed schemes to eradicate racism and encourage tolerance.
I can't speak for Australia and Greece, but when you think your baseless posts are more informed than an actual study then you're kidding yourself and everyone else.
